MORE ABOUT THIS PRODUCT AND HOW TO USE
Our Sour Dough Starter (a mass of flour, water and ‘wild’ microbes) began its life in Italy about a hundred years ago. It was passed down between generations of bakers, and then we (The Real Bread and Food Co.) were happily given some about 13 years ago.
It has been routinely fed with organic white flour and filtered water.
If you would like some, please chose a jar from our ‘bottles and containers’ section. If you haven’t bought a jar with this order, we will put the starter in to a pre-used ‘jam jar’ that we have washed ready for re-use.
If you are new to ‘sour-dough’ and would like some information about how to look after your starter, please contact the shop directly and we can arrange to email you some ‘care and use’ instructions.
