MORE ABOUT THIS PRODUCT AND HOW TO USE
Yellow mustard seeds originate from Mediterranean areas and have been used in cooking, in pickles and garnishes of all sorts. They can be mildly fiery but when fried, the heat decreases, and they become deliciously nutty. A spoonful sprinkled in at the start of any earthy sauce can be a really pleasant addition. Often used along with brown mustard seeds to ‘temper’ a dahl by frying with garlic and cumin seeds and poured on top of the cooked lentils. Yellow mustard seeds are also used to make mustard – sometimes with turmeric added to make it a vibrant yellow colour.
