Couscous is a ‘grain’ produced from durum wheat semolina which has been steamed, sieved and dried – for this reason, it doesn’t really need cooking again, but rather just needs soaking in hot water so that it is light and fluffy. Use in salads or as a change from any other grains. Also good to add with other fried veg and a handful of cooked lentils for stuffing peppers.
To cook - In a bowl add enough boiling water/stock to cover the couscous by less than half a centimetre. Add salt and a splash of oil with the water if you want. Leave to soak for a few minutes then fluff up with a fork.

PACKAGING
All dried food orders are packed in home compostable brown paper bags. Some food items contain natural oils which may be absorbed by the brown paper bags. Some natural oils may seep through onto other items. We recommend putting your dried food items in airtight or semi airtight containers to retain freshness.
