MORE ABOUT THIS PRODUCT AND HOW TO USE/COOK

No need to soak before cooking. Green lentils will expand considerably through cooking so cook in water (best salted and maybe chuck in a bay leaf and a garlic clove) or stock at least 3 times the volume of lentils. Simmer for 18 - 20 minutes These lentils will hold their shape (unless you over cook them!).

Green lentils are highly nutritious great for salads and side dishes as well as hot soup and stews and curries. Can also be cooked within a dish – eg a soup or stew.

PACKAGING

All dried food orders are packed in home compostable brown paper bags. Some food items contain natural oils which may be absorbed by the brown paper bags. Some natural oils may seep through onto other items. We recommend putting your dried food items in airtight or semi airtight containers to retain freshness.
