Organically grown and processed on Glebe farm in Cambridgeshire. These oats can be used just as any other oats - in porridge, overnight oats, as a breakfast cereal, in all cooking or baking where oats are called for.

Gluten free oats are called such as they have not been processed in an area that also processes other grains that do contain gluten (such as wheat and rye). Gluten is a protein to which people with Coeliac disease have a severe allergy to; for these people, gluten needs to be avoided at all times. There is a related protein in all oats called ‘avenin’ which some people with coeliac disease may also need to avoid. Other people may have a mild sensitivity to gluten causing relatively mild intestinal discomfort; it is unlikely that these people will be affected by ‘avenin’.

PACKAGING

All dried food orders are packed in home compostable brown paper bags. Some food items contain natural oils which may be absorbed by the brown paper bags. Some natural oils may seep through onto other items. We recommend putting your dried food items in airtight or semi airtight containers to retain freshness.
